Restorative yoga can be thought of as an antidote to a busy and stressed out life. It’s an embodied meditation, where we set you up to be extremely comfortable with the creative use of yoga props (bolsters, blankets, blocks, eye pillows, etc) so your body is completely supported to allow muscles to relax and thus stay in various poses for longer.
It takes time to guide our nervous system into a relaxed state (parasympathetic dominance), where we allow our body to recover from the stresses of life. In Restorative Yoga we set up the conditions for deep rest, digestion and repair to happen.
